The Art Refuge Project - A safe space to co-create and manifest​
We are deeply committed to a new project close to our hearts—the creation of a dedicated Art Refuge to welcome and support the most vulnerable populations in Geneva while expanding our social impact initiatives.This space will bring together various causes dear to our organization, offering an inclusive, accessible, and safe environment for artistic expression and healing.These projects reflect our ongoing commitment to art therapy, striving to create meaningful and lasting change in the lives of individuals and communities we serve.


 

Art For Peace Mini Fest – A Cozy Celebration of Art & Healing

The Art For Peace Mini Fest is an intimate and alternative event to the larger Art For Peace Biennale, offering a full day and evening of immersive artistic experiences. Join us in the heart of Geneva for a warm and soulful gathering, featuring Sufi music concerts, dance therapy workshops, and interactive singing and rhythm sessions. This special event is designed to nurture connection, creativity, and well-being in a cozy and vibrant atmosphere.

2024
First Edition of the Art For Peace Biennale
The inaugural Art For Peace Festival celebrated indigenous Amazonian communities and vulnerable populations in Geneva, particularly refugees, through the transformative power of art. The festival featured Oriental music concerts, three curated painting exhibitions, and various creative and interactive workshops, fostering cultural exchange and artistic expression.​

2023
Art For Peace at SEP TALKS – Art & Resilience for Refugee Communities
Art For Peace was invited to speak at SEP TALKS, a platform that highlights local artists engaged in social impact work. We led a conference on art and resilience, focusing on the power of creative expression in supporting refugee communities in Geneva.SEP is an ethical luxury fashion brand that showcases the embroidery talents of refugee women in Jordan, offering thousands of displaced women a platform to share their artistic heritage with the world while gaining economic independence.​

​2023
Collaboration with Initiative Nammou – Rhythmic & Flamenco Therapy
In partnership with Initiative Nammou, an activist art collective led by refugee musicians advocating for refugee rights in Geneva, we co-developed an ongoing art therapy program centered on rhythm and flamenco therapy. This collaboration continues to provide artistic workshops, empower displaced voices, and use art as a tool for advocacy and resilience.Additionally, we partnered with Festival Asiman II, an event championing refugee rights through art therapy, social activism, performances, and educational rhythmic workshops.​

2022
Art Therapy Workshop on Forgiveness – Évolène Art Therapy Festival
As part of the Évolène Art Therapy Festival, we facilitated an art therapy workshop on forgiveness, inspired by the upcoming book The Forgiveness Door by Agnès Aubert. This initiative explored how artistic creation can support emotional release, reconciliation, and transformation, offering innovative perspectives on the role of art therapy in the forgiveness process.

2021
Art Therapy for Survivors of Rape & Torture at Foyer de Presinge
In collaboration with Hospice Général, we extended our commitment to refugee women survivors of torture and sexual violence by offering trauma-informed art therapy sessions at Foyer de Presinge. This program used art as a medium for healing and reconstruction, allowing women to reclaim their narratives and rebuild a sense of self and agency.​

2020
Art Therapy Mandate with Hospice Général
A two-month art therapy mandate dedicated to a group of refugee women in Geneva, in partnership with Hospice Général. The goal was to create a safe and creative space where participants could express their experiences, process trauma, and strengthen their mental well-being through artistic exploration.​

​2019
Art Therapy Mandate at Externat Arc-en-Ciel
A two-month art therapy engagement at Externat Arc-en-Ciel, a pedagogical-therapeutic unit created in 1974 by Astural. This specialized institution supports sixteen children aged four to eight facing developmental challenges. The program aimed to facilitate self-expression, emotional regulation, and resilience through creative exploration.​
